The Awareness Enhancement Program combines activities targeting television, radio and print media conducted by Winrock partner Independent Journalism Center (IJC) with information campaigns, publications and materials designed to supplement RSC activities and raise overall awareness of human trafficking and related issues. The project produces “Destinies & Destinations,” a television and radio show that encourages societal tolerance and better understanding of victims and women at-risk, informs the public of traffickers’ recruitment tactics, profiles RSC success stories, and explains ways for women to increase their safety if they nevertheless remain determined to go abroad.
